Why our Black Gram Laddoos?

These Black Gram Laddoos are more than just a sweet treat—they’re a warm embrace from a time when life moved slower, and love simmered over woodfire stoves known as ‘Chool’ in Sindhudurg.

Grown from indigenous seeds with age-old sustainable farming practices by grass-root farmers of Sindhudurg, the grain is fire-roasted on an iron pan and hand-ground in a stone mill to enhance and preserve the nutrition value of Black Gram. Hand-rolled along with dark jaggery, and Gavthi cow’s ghee local to Sindhudurg, every bite carries the rich aroma of tradition and the quiet comfort of home. They’re gently spiced with turmeric, black pepper, nutmeg, and cardamom—just like the ones grandma made on quiet afternoons.

Each laddoo tells a story—of kitchens running on crackling wood-fire, soft humming of chatter, and the gentle care of grandmothers who knew just how to make everything feel better with a simple, earthy sweet. Coarse, rich, and full of soul, they wrap around your senses like a warm hug.

Made in small batches with timeless ingredients and slow hands, our Black Gram Laddoos bring back the soulfulness of age-old kitchens—where food was a language of love, and every morsel was made with heart.
