Why our Finger Millet Laddoos?

These Finger Millet Laddoos are a celebration of an ancient grain that’s quietly powerful—just like the women who made them for their children on quiet afternoons by the woodfire stoves known as ‘Chool’ in Sindhudurg.

 

The grains are carefully harvested from native varieties grown in Sindhudurg’s red soil, roasted to bring out their nutty aroma, and ground in a traditional stone mill to retain their natural goodness. Rolled with dark jaggery and Gavthi cow’s ghee, these laddoos are soft and mildly sweet, with just a touch of nutmeg, cardamom and dry turmeric and black pepper for warmth.
